Who Made This?
Meet Naz factories. High-quality eco-friendly fashion made in Portugal.

Penteadora - Fabric Maker

Born in 1930 and located in a small village called Unhais da Serra, Penteadora shows that tradition and sustainability walk together. With solar power, water reutilization and it's own WWTP, it's a pleasure to work with them.

Naz Factories. MoodleDoodle is our woven garment partner. Based in Leiria, workforce is 100% composed by women.

Moodledoodle - Sewing Partner

A small family-owned factory where the workforce is 100% female. Visiting them is always a please and the icing on the cake is to meet Cristina, the extraordinary multitasker that manages everything.

Is Wool Bad for the Environment?

While wool has amazing qualities that no other man-made fiber was able to mimic. Virgin wool brings up animal welfare and CO2 emission concerns that need to be addressed.

It can be pretty sustainable too, did you know 70% of a garment impact happens after it was bought? So wool here wins the game: it doesn't need to be washed a lot, only cold temperatures and it's most likely to be worn more and less likely to end up in trash and be recycled instead!

What is Deadstock?

Portugal is one of the biggest clothing producers from Europe, which means a lot of the clothing you see out there made sustainably, is made here.

This generates a lot of waste, sometimes it's a client that didn't like the color the knit turned out, other it's just that the machines need to make more than what is actually needed. And this is deadstock!

They are high-quality fabrics that comply with the environmental and chemical regulamentations that if not used by us (and some other brands) would end up in the trash, or worse, in the ocean!

Here we believe in second chances, so we prefer to give them a new life, in your wardrobe.

How to Care for it?

We promise it's very simple!

Probably the biggest concern when buying a wool garment is how to care for it and make sure it doesn't end up in your child drawer because it shrank.

We promise it's very simple, let us help!

Wash Less

Rule #1: do not wash your wool garments every time you wear them, ok? Just hang it outside the house or in a damp bathroom, because wool cleans itself to some extent - if you have a tiny stain, why not spot clean it?

Wash on Cold Temperatures

Most washing machines are gentler than the old hand wash.

Here at home we always Wash on a Gentle Wool Cycle at Cold Temperatures (30º it's not cold , ok?). And don't tumble dry, please, it will felt that beautiful sweater.

When drying always Air Dry Flat, try to lay it out neatly so it retains its shape forever!

Golden Rule: Don't use fabric softner!

Fabric softner has enzymes that love to eat all that wool, and that is how you create pilling! Here we have hard water so we can't just ditch it all together, so we use vinegar instead - it works wonders and leaves absolutely no smell!
