Sustainable Clothing Fibers

It all starts with the best ingredients right?

We believe in creating beautiful clothing that’s kind to the planet. The biggest impact of clothing is after its production, so quality and the social consciousness of fashion are definitely on our top priorities.
Nevertheless, our founder true love lies within textile fibers so the materials we choose are a core part of our commitment to sustainability.

Naz women's winter essentials. Recycled Wool crewneck, made in Portugal.

Ecological

Linen

Linen comes from Flax trees, which can grow in poor land that is not used for food production - it can even rehabilitate polluted soil.

Rainwater is the most used way to cultivate flax, as it needs 60% less water than conventional cotton. That saves 307 litres of water per kilo of fibre compared to cotton (yes, a bit shocking).

Organic Cotton

By not using harmful chemicals, organic cotton means a healthier planet since it reduces the risk of water acidification and eutrophication.

Being mostly rain-fed, savings on water can go up to 79% and almost 60% on emissions, as a big part of cotton growing emissions comes from fertilizers and pesticides used.

Tencel

Lyocell is a special fibre from Tencel®, created using a closed-loop system that recycles almost all of the chemicals used. By using it, we’re sure it comes from eucalyptus from PEFC certified forests.

Only 2 litres of water are wasted per kilo of Lyocell fiber. Plus, it has 72.5% percent lower CO2 emissions than polyester.
